Bellbrook students study hybrid car
Bellbrook High School science, technology, engineering and mathematics students studied some real-world engineering applications Feb. 19 when they got to see the General Motors Volt plug-in hybrid car. Thomas Durkin, a GM calibration specialist and nephew of Principal Chris Baker, explained the car's features to students.
The pre-engineering program, set up through the national Project Lead the Way effort, is in its third year, with more than 100 students getting hands-on experiences related to technology-based careers, according to Baker.
