PLTW student wins gold in National Robotics Challenge
Michael Geuy, a sophomore in Ed Goodwin’s Principles of Engineering class at River Valley High School in Marion, Ohio recently won a first place Gold Award in the National Robotics Challenge, held March 10 and 11 in Marion. To win the award, which was in the category of Manufacturing Model, Michael had to design a simulated manufacturing system to produce six different operations on a piece of stock. Michael used Fischertechnics components to set up and run the simulated operations, which including chamfering, milling, drilling, painting, and storage.
